Owner and barbeque expert  "Smokey Joe" opened Smokey Joe's Barbecue in the spring of 1999, with a vision of creating Stamford's ultimate barbeque experience. Trained in the fine art of low and slow smoking, Joe has spent his life creating the world's best barbeque. Joe brings his love and passion to every dish he creates. 

In 1976, Joe moved from his hometown. He married his high school sweetheart and started a family. After moving to Fairfield County, Joe noticed that there was no real barbeque to be found anywhere around. Joe was inspired to bring his artistry to Stamford, CT.

Joe opened the doors of Smokey Joes Barbecue in the spring of 1999. Before he created his first masterpiece, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of patience, passion and love. Critics have been raving ever since.
